Update your firmware directly from the SecuX Mobile App on App Store or Google Play.
Before you start, please read through the following Terms of Use and ensure that you have the following items:
- Recovery Seed Phrase & Passphrase
- A secure and stable internet connection
- A fully charged mobile device and SecuX wallet device, along with a charger
Please refrain from leaving the app, disconnecting the power source, or turning off your mobile device and SecuX wallet device until the update is complete.
Connect to Device #
Connect SecuX wallet device to SecuX Mobile App via Bluetooth.
Start the Firmware Update #
If a new MCU or SE firmware is available for update, the Update Available window will appear. Tap Update to proceed.
2. You can also access Settings to check for firmware versions and updates.
Firmware Update Information #
Check the firmware update information and tap Update.
Update in Progress #
The device will update automatically. It is essential to avoid leaving the app, disconnecting the power source, or turning off both your mobile phone and SecuX device until the update is complete.
Update Successful #
Once the update is complete, tap Done.
If it fails to update, follow the steps below or contact SecuX for support.
Update Failed #
If the firmware update failed, please follow steps according different scenarios:
- Your SecuX wallet device screen is showing Welcome to SecuX Update Mode
- Your SecuX wallet device screen is showing an ERROR message
If your SecuX wallet device screen is showing Welcome to SecuX Update Mode, please try the following steps:
1. Download SecuX Firmware Update App #
Download the SecuX Firmware Update App from the App Store or Google Play. Here’s a step-by-step tutorial guide on How to Update Firmware via the SecuX Firmware Update App.
2. Update Firmware via SecuXess #
Connect wallet to your computer and access SecuXess to update the firmware. (V20 and W20 only) Please follow the instructions to Update Firmware via SecuXess.
3. Reset the SecuX Wallet Device #
1. Reset the SecuX wallet device and try again. Gently press a small object (such as a pen tip) into the reset hole on the back of the hardware wallet.
2. Wait a moment for the SecuX wallet device to restart, connect to SecuX Mobile App on App Store or Google Play, and try the firmware update again.
ERROR Message #
If your SecuX wallet device screen is showing the following ERROR message, connect wallet to your computer and access SecuXess to update firmware (V20 and W20 only).
